A visit

What a visit looks like

  • Your hour

A full hour, one-on-one. Esther or Mia stays with you from the first question to the last exercise.

  • What we do

    • Listen to what you do all day and what you want to do again

    • Look at how your neck, shoulders and upper back move

    • Use hands-on care and exercises chosen for you

    • Give you a plan for the days between visits

  • What decides how many visits

How long the problem has been there, what your days ask of you, what you want to get back to and how you respond. We talk it through after your first hour and check in as you go.

Questions about this care

Do I need an MRI or an X-ray first?

Not to start. We examine you, explain what we find and tell you if we think imaging or a physician's visit makes sense first.

Can you work with my surgeon's plan?

Yes. Bring your surgeon's notes and any limits on what you can do. We follow them, and we call your surgeon's office if we have a question.

Will treatment hurt?

We work within what you can tolerate. Some movements are uncomfortable, and you can ask us to slow down or stop at any time.
