Do I need a referral?

In Georgia you can start physical therapy without a referral from a physician. We tell you if we think a physician should see you first. A plan that reimburses you may still ask for one.

Do you take insurance or Medicare?

We do not bill Medicare or other plans. You pay us directly, and if your plan reimburses care outside its network, we give you a receipt to send in.

What does a visit cost?

It depends on the length and kind of visit. We send an estimate in writing before your first visit. How fees work has the details.

How long is a visit, and who treats me?

A visit is a full hour, one-on-one. Esther or Mia treats you, and your therapist stays with you for the whole visit.

How many visits will I need?

It depends on what you are dealing with, what you want to get back to, how you respond and how often you can come. We talk it through after your first hour and check in as you go.

What should I wear and bring?

Clothes you can move in, the shoes you run or train in, and any notes from your doctor or surgeon. Your first-visit page has the full list.

Will it hurt?

We work within what you can tolerate. Some movements are uncomfortable, and you can ask us to slow down or stop at any time.

Do you offer video visits?

Yes, in states where we are licensed, which is Georgia. Video visits suit check-ins and exercise progress. We tell you when a visit in person would help more.

What if my injury is from work or a car accident?

Tell us when you call, and tell us who your adjuster is. Your state decides who may direct your care, and we explain what that means for paying us.

Who is Clay for?

Clay is for women who want one-on-one orthopedic and performance care: a sore joint or back, or a goal like running, lifting or a sport. If we are not the right fit, we say so and suggest someone who is.
